Adalyn, Mila and I were graciously invited to attend a Back To School Party hosted by Jenny Keller, author of Eat More Dessert, and founder of JennyCookies.com. Recognized as “The Baker to the Stars,” Jenny is a coveted entertaining expert and crafting stylist that is known to throw the most detailed, decadent parties – everyone is dying to get in. And since we all love a good behind the scenes perspective, I’m here to tell you what it’s really like to be a guest at a Jenny Cookies party…

Jenny Keller – JennyCookies.com
Jenny began her love of baking, blogging and everything in between in 2006 and I discovered her shortly thereafter (Pinterest!). I admired her eye for the little things, the creative, whimsical, beautiful side of parties and bringing people together. She’s turned this incredible passion project into a very successful business – including a new venture coming soon!
So when I received the invite to attend her Back To School Party, I was eager to see how Jenny orchestrates such perfect events! I mean, really, how does she do it?
When we arrived, we were immediately greeted by the photographer (whom I love!), took a few snaps against the sweetest backdrop…
Then ventured into the party…
The Keller Farmhouse sits upon 5 acres just North of Seattle. A beautiful haven outside of the city that perfectly represents Jenny. It’s a well-manicured oasis that is both articulately designed and completely inviting. Jenny excels at curating beautiful spaces that feel both opulent and organic.
My girl’s quickly found the food, which of course had the most creative backdrop! Jenny gives tips on how to pull this look together on her blog here. Let’s just say she has mastered the art of being both clever and resourceful!
Jenny hosted the party with Tree Top…so there was plenty of yummy goodness!
Once their tummies were full we played around the Keller farm – which included feeding their family of goats!
Then we got a bit crafty with a few fun Back To School projects – easy for both the little and ‘big kids’ at the party!

And while the kiddo’s worked on their masterpieces, the parent’s had a chance to treat themselves to the gorgeous table of charcuterie platters…

Oh you thought that was it? Not in Jenny’s house! Keep reading to see what else her party included!
Let me recap – we’ve had delicious food, played on the farm, created several works of art…and now for the grand finale – a school supply station with personalized backpacks, notebooks, and more! I cannot describe how excited the kid’s were…which is the whole point – we want our kiddos to crave school, be elated over pencils, erases and their very own collection of markers! This was absolutely genius and if I didn’t already adore Jenny, she won my heart forever with this!
First the kid’s found the backpacks (with their names on them!), then headed to the supply cubbies…

Now I’d like to point out Jenny’s calling card, yet again, details, details, details.

And if that wasn’t enough, the girl’s also went home with personalized pillows + Chatbooks gift cards!

And of course, a Jenny Cookies party wouldn’t be complete without dessert…
You thought you were full? Think again…Adalyn actually took a pie for the road, because every dessert was so irresistible, it was hard to choose just ONE! So we tried them all :)
This might have been the party to end all parties…well until the next Jenny Cookies event :) Which makes me wonder, what will she come up with next?!
So what’s a Jenny Cookies party really like – well, it’s as if you walked into a fairytale…filled with joy, whimsy and impeccable design. Jenny surpasses any expectations you may have and puts on a party like nobody’s business. She is brilliant, creative and by far, one of the most gracious hosts I have ever met.
If you don’t follow her already (which I can’t even imagine!) – check out Jenny Cookies for the ultimate party + dessert + decor inspo!
