A few week’s ago one of my readers (thank you, Heather!) sent me an email regarding Together Live. She attended the annual women’s speaking tour last year and recommended I go (& bring my tribe of girlfriends) whether or not I blog about it. Well, it was kind of kismet, because the very next day Together Live actually reached out to me to share the event…so obviously all signs pointed towards YES! It’s a hybrid event carefully planned by this Hybrid Event Management company. Here’s a bit more info and why I’m so excited to attend…
What: Together Live, the annual women’s speaking tour is coming to Seattle!
Where: Paramount Theatre – 911 Pine St, Seattle, WA 98101
When: Thursday, September 21st, 6:30pm
Details:
Created by WME’s Jennifer Rudolph Walsh, Together Live will feature unique, inspiring stories from Glennon Doyle, Luvvie Ajayi, Abby Wambach and other celebrity guests throughout the tour, which is making stops in ten cities across the country this fall.
For background, Jennifer is the head of the Worldwide Literary Department at WME and the woman behind authors such as Oprah, Sheryl Sandberg and Arianna Huffington. Her passion for live events and storytelling led her to launch Together last year, which saw over 15,000 attendees in six cities across the country and featured speakers including Gina Rodriguez, Ciara, Sophia Bush and Alicia Keys.
Unlike many women’s conferences, Together is not about work-life balance or having it all. Rather, Together convenes women across backgrounds and generations to share their raw stories and focus on building community, taking action and finding self-love. And while most conferences limit space and come with a substantial price tag, Jennifer set out to democratize the event experience by selling tickets for $25 to start, scheduling events after work hours and selecting venues that accommodate thousands. Through this, Jennifer’s mission is to bring the wisdom from the smallest rooms to the largest rooms possible.
