This burger is anything but ordinary. It has a story about shopping local, shopping independent and knowing exactly where your beef comes from.
I’m excited to share another Seattle-based company that is changing the way you (and your kids!) eat. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a pescatarian, however, my kids and Ben love all things beef – steak, brisket, roast, ribs and of course burgers. In fact, you’ll often find my husband marinating, smoking and roasting on any given weekend (his #staycation of sorts). Cooking is absolutely his love language and our daughter, Adalyn, has quickly become his sous chef. Mila prefers enjoying the end result…
So about this burger..
Thanks to Crowd Cow, the revolutionary craft beef purveyor, we know exactly where this beef came from, along with the breed of the cow and the farmer who raised the cattle. Crowd Cow ships premium beef from independent farmers directly to your door and ensures only the best practices were used.
It all started with an idea, by Ethan (co-founder of Urbanspoon) and Joe (in-house startup incubator for Madrona Venture Group) searching for a way to make local beef accessible. Not everyone can search for local farms, coordinate payment and pickup and store an entire year’s worth of beef. So they make it easy. They do the research, working with local, independent ranchers and allow you to pick the exact cuts and buy as much or little as you want!
We feature 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef, pastured grain-finished beef, A5 Wagyu from Japan and more, always from the very best independent “Craft Beef” producers in our network. You’ll always know what kind of beef you’re getting, who produced it, where and how it was raised. We don’t work with industrial factory farms, CAFO or beef brokers (like the other guys). Never have, never will. – Crowd Cow
A few things to note:
- Most people order 5 to 10 lbs at a time and have no trouble fitting that into the available freezer space of an ordinary home refrigerator.
- They ship everywhere in the USA except Alaska and Hawaii.
- Their steaks and roasts are individually vacuum sealed in high quality, airtight cryovac packages to lock in freshness and ensure a long shelf life in your freezer. Ground beef and patties are vacuum sealed in convenient, one pound packs. Bones are wrapped in butcher paper. All are flash-frozen and packed in an insulated box with dry ice for delivery direct to your door. All of their beef is USDA inspected.
- Shipping is $12.99 no matter how much you buy, no matter where it ships (they ship everywhere in the lower 48 states.)
Crowd Cow is the only brand in the world that provides direct access to small, independent ranches with the greatest possible level of transparency available anywhere.
