I kicked off 2018 with a resolution to conquer 30 hot yoga classes in 45 days at my local studio. Even though that may seem super easy (I mean I had 15 buffer days, right?), I was out of town the first week and then followed up the next two with bronchitis and the flu. But giving up was definitely not happening.
If you know me, then a little competition does my body GOOD. I had to double up the very last day but I’m very proud to say I hit my goal on February 15th with exactly 30 classes.
To be completely honest, I really had hoped to surpass that number. I wanted to WIN. Not for the prize (though I’m in desperate need of a new yoga mat), but really for the fact of saying I did. However, what happened along the way was quite magical, really…
I became OBSESSED with the stretch, the sweat and the uncomfortable feeling of pushing myself. I am not a bendy person…yoga does not come easy. But the heat (especially this time of year), combined with the intense wave of gratitude after every single class made me crave it even more. I even started going to the early 5:30am classes which has taken my day to a whole new level (the gift of more time during my day is priceless).
I could literally go on for hours about my re-ignited love for hot yoga – whether it be hatha, power or sculpt…I’m addicted. And so I felt compelled to provide a little resource guide for you, sharing the best hot yoga studios in Seattle and the surrounding area. I have personally been to each of these studios or have been recommended by a close friend so I take this list seriously. I hope this encourages you to try a new class and step out (or in) your comfort zone to sweat like crazy and feel amazing.
First, I’ll preface these are hot yoga studios in or near Seattle (less than a 60 mile radius) and so I’ll break them down by area to make it quick and easy!

I encourage you to take advantage of the new student specials offered by our local hot yoga studios! It’s a great way to get a feel for the practice without spending a ton. You can literally take a class for a $1 a day!
Since I’m on the topic, I wanted to highlight a few things that really help with post-sweat recovery…
Supplements
ALWAYS keep electrolytes in your gym bag for after class (I like Nuun Hydration tablets or coconut water). And most importantly, make sure to take an Omega 3s supplement daily (I have been using OmegaBrite for months and really love the results).
Omega 3s are known to increase your workout recovery due to their anti-inflammatory properties, along with improving muscle tone through protein synthesis. And they help burn excess fat!
Also, one of my favorite reasons to take OmegaBrite is to help with cognitive function, speeding up my reaction time during class. Healthy heart + healthy brain.
I have talked about OmegaBrite several times on the blog, and have used it for months because I truly believe in the power and benefits of Omega 3s. You can grab a box for less than $40 on their website!
I’d also like to thank Brooks Running for introducing me to their new Spring 2018 collection which is perfect for hot yoga. The fit and materials are ultra comfortable before, during and after class.
Style
A few of my favorite styles include the brand new Ritual Tank which is super breathable and made to cool you down, paired with the updated Hot Shot Sports Bra (zero pinching and molds to your body). I also LOVE the Pick Up Tank (which I have in at least 5 colors).
For bottoms, I wear the Brooks Running Go-To Tight or Capri almost every day. They have a super sleek silhouette and allow you to move without restriction (super important in yoga!).
And to layer I love the Dash Hoodie and the new Revival Hoodie, along with the Sherpa Hat (because hot yoga hair is no joke!).
And most importantly, since we’re talking about my favorite shoe brand in the world, I must discuss my current kicks – the Levitate. You feel like you’re walking on clouds, super energizing and springy – great if you want to catch a quick run before class (or for running errands after). These shoes will make you crave movement. I highly recommend them!

Thanks for taking the time to read this post and if you have anything to add, please let me know in the comments! This includes if I missed your favorite hot yoga studio in the Seattle area! I’d be happy to update as needed!
