On my upcoming race calendar is the OSO Strong 5K which is being held in Arlington, WA (my hometown!) on August 2nd. If you remember, last year on March 22, 2014, there was a catastrophic Mudslide in Oso, WA. It completely devastated the communities of Arlington, Oso & Darrington, yet brought us all closer together. We knew in order to overcome this tragedy, we needed each other. The 5K was founded to provide support (100% of the proceeds) to the victims and families, along with the Oso Fire Department (a volunteer department).

Here are the OSO Strong 5K Details:
- August 2nd @ 10AM @ Arlington Airport
- 5K (3.1 Miles) Run/Walk (you can also skip, dance, jog, sprint…whatever gets you across the finish line)
- Kids & Dogs are welcome (the course is grass, groomed trail and sidewalk – so stroller & leash friendly!)
- There’s a Bouncy House Kid’s Course (Ages 3-10)
- Beer Garden & DJ
- 12th Man Food Truck
- Dance Fitness Warm-Up (obviously this is totally my jam)
- T-Shirt & Beautiful Wood Medal Included in Race Entry
- Virtual Race Entry Option (unable to attend but will receive a T-Shirt & Medal)
