With Canada just a quick drive North, we’re able to cross the border quite often – however, this year, my goal is to travel, with my kids, to another country. Adalyn, my six year old, has a serious case of wanderlust and it melts my heart. She studies our globe and ponders where she wants to go – the latest being Africa. I had the fortune of traveling with my parents growing up, totally 20 countries thus far. For my children, I want to encourage the hunger to explore – to see – to taste – to breathe air in another land. I want to raise little voyagers that are constantly full of fascination and curiosity. So stay tuned…
Well…I’m excited to share it is finally within reach! Norwegian Air just announced their direct flights Seattle to London for as low as $199 one way!
Nonstop flights to London aboard the brand new Boeing 787 Dreamliner offer in-seat entertainment, power plus, USB charging, winged headrests, ample leg room, bigger windows and jet-lag reducing mood-lighting. Plus, once you arrive at London-Gatwick, you have access to the rest of Europe! World travel just became a lot more attainable…especially for our family of 4.
The official launch for the Low Fare option begins in September 2017…however you can book NOW for any travel after that date and still get this killer deal. Just make sure to check the ‘Show Low Fare Calendar’ box (see below for reference).
The Low Fare option allows you the freedom to choose – you only pay for the services you actually want – meals/drinks, checked bags or an advanced seat assignment. You can opt for all three in a bundle to save money or buy just what’s important to you.
To celebrate this launch, the Norwegian Air street team will be dressed as British Bobbies making a few appearances in Seattle this Saturday and Sunday (July 8th & 9th!). Keep your eyes out for them on Saturday afternoon around Ballard Seafood Fest and Capitol Hill, and Sunday afternoon at the Ballard Locks and again around Capitol Hill.
Rumor has it they will be sharing discounted tickets and possible giveaways! You better believe my girls and I will be on the hunt for them (follow along on Insta Stories!)
Since we’re in a London state of mind – my friend, Emily at The Hutch Oven, made the MOST darling Brit-inspired cookies…
Check out her airplane cookie tutorial HERE!
Norwegian Air offers 500 routes to more than 150 destinations in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, Thailand, the Caribbean and the US. In addition, they have received the following accolades, ‘Europes Best Low Cost Airline 4 years in a row’ (Skytrax), ‘World’s Best Low Cost Long Haul Airline 2 years in a row’ (Skytrax), ‘Family Traveller Award: Best Family Airline 2016’ (FTA).
The last time I visited London was in 2004 right after I graduated college. It’s been on my #FamilyBucketList ever since my girl’s were born. After a bit of research, I think I’ve come up with a pretty fun, family-friendly itinerary…here are a few highlights:
- Afternoon Tea at One Aldwych Inspired by Charlie and The Chocolate Factory
- FREE Trails, Workshops and Activities for Families at the British Museum
- City Cruise on the River Thames
- Hampton Court Palace Maze
- The London Eye
So shall we fly away together? #FlyNorwegian
