Summer vacation with a 3 and 5 year old does not entail sunbathing at the beach, leisurely long walks (unless you want to carry one of them), or finally going through all of last year’s Shape magazines…nope – your #1 job is to keep the kid’s occupied, and if possible, out of the house – otherwise you’ll spend the entire day/every day following them around trying to figure out if the 30 outfits laying on the floor are dirty or clean…and the toys…why do we have so many toys? I am in constant debate if I should just donate them all. I mean really…the stick they always happen to find outside makes a magnificent fairy wand…and it’s outside (so I don’t have to find a place for it).
So back to keeping those adorable little humans busy…today, I joined forces with another mom and had a playdate with Terumi and her sweet twin boys. She’s also a Seattle blogger (one of my very favorites!) and is the writer behind An Emerald City Life – a family lifestyle and travel blog.
After a fantastic morning exploring Woodland Park Zoo with our friends, I cashed in on a bribe I had been using all morning – Yogurtland. I promised the girl’s I would take them to frozen yogurt if they behaved (even though we were going regardless) – I know, I know…#momfail…or is it #momwin…because I wanted it too?! Anyways, we have been looking forward to trying the new Nintendo Inspired Flavors that were just released this month.
Fortunately the girl’s were (pretty) good and we made a beeline for the new ‘Game On’ flavors…
We went to this location and they had the Toad’s Rocky Road & Mario’s Chocolate Gelato available. Yogurtland partnered with Nintendo to create 10 Game On Flavors – so you’ll have to check out a store near you to see what yumminess they have on tap!

I just love her excitement in this photo… :)
We opted for both Mario and Toad’s flavors…because more chocolate the better, right?
