I’m excited to share Seattle is in the running for the Let’s Play High School Makeover Challenge presented by the Dr Pepper Snapple Group!
The challenge included video submissions from student-athletes from high schools in 20 U.S. markets, and Rainier Beach High School in Seattle made the top 20 list!
The student-athletes created a 60-90 second video, including teammates, fellow athletes and the coaches sharing the theme “Because of Sports…” and the school’s need for updated athletic equipment.
The winning school will receive $100,000 in brand-new athletic equipment so these kids need YOUR help!
I encourage you to support our community, our kids and the mission to keep sports alive in public schools by voting for Rainier Beach High School September 9th-17th!
In partnership with Good Sports, the Dr Pepper Snapple Let’s Play initiative has donated more than $4.5 million in brand-new sports equipment over the past three years as part of Dr Pepper Snapple’s $38.5 million commitment by 2020 to bring active play to kids in need.
As mom of two girls in public school, thank you Dr Pepper Snapple!!!
