Over the past few months you guy’s have been sending me emails, DM’s on Instagram and leaving the sweetest comments regarding my hair and lashes. So I thought I would share a quick post on where I go for both of these services and why.
First of all, here’s my philosophy. I like to be high maintenance every few weeks so I can be super LOW maintenance the rest of the time. Kind of plays into THIS post, as well. So yes, I do get lash extensions typically every 2-3 works. I can stretch it out, but my lash technician prefers I stay regular to keep my lashes strong (when your lash extensions grow out that is when breakage can occur. So it’s super important to follow their guidelines).
With lash extensions, I never wear mascara and always feel like I have at least something on vs. completely bare faced. And it might sound silly, but long, dark lashes make me feel more awake when I look in the mirror. Truth be told, I’ve always had long lashes but they are nearly translucent. So the extensions do wonders for people actually seeing them. Plus they pop in pictures, which definitely helps for the dozens of photos I take every week.
Lash Extensions & Salon in Seattle
Something to note, not all lash salons are equal. You absolutely need to do your research and ask for referrals, which is why I’m sharing this post today! I’ve been going to London Brows in Mill Creek (a quick 30 minute drive North of Seattle) and have been impressed not only with their lash technique, but also the cleanliness of the salon, schedule availability and the fact that they make their own lash products (adhesive, cleanser & growth serum).
Owned by Kim Filion, a well-known Seattle esthetician, who also leads global training conferences on the art of lash extensions and microblading, London Brows offers specialized services to fit the needs of their clients. You can contact the salon HERE to learn more or schedule an appointment!
For My Hair
As I shared on Instagram today, even though I have naturally dark hair, I feel most comfortable as a blonde. So when I discovered that Amy Quackenbush, owner of Adele Salon in Fremont, was a master blonde bombshell wizard, I immediately made an appointment. Known for her features in Allure, InStyle, and Seattle Magazine, Amy has received quite the recognition as one of the BEST stylist’s in the city.
She knew exactly what I wanted, brightened up my color and left me feeling whole again. New hair is a pretty magical thing! Amy is also famous for her Diamond Cut, a treatment that will leave your hair ‘skating rink shiny’ for weeks.
You can contact Amy HERE for a hair consultation or appointment and let her know I sent you!
I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any questions – please don’t hesitate to leave a comment or send me an email, info@obsessedbyportia.com!
Cheers!
