My last girls’ getaway post from Phoenix, Arizona was so well-received that I had to return! This trip includes a fresh, new itinerary – gorgeous accommodations, incredible food and girlfriend-inspired activities, specifically in the Scottsdale area.
I had the opportunity of enjoying this sun-drenched holiday with my gorgeous friend Jaime (@CharlestonBlonde).
Quick story – I’ve followed Jaime on Instagram forever and so when I visited Charleston earlier this year I sent her a DM. She invited me out on Cinco de Mayo with her group of friends (can we all agree that was pretty darn sweet?!) and since then we’ve stayed in touch. And here were are traveling together! Regardless of your thoughts on social media, it can be a pretty amazing space. Which is why I always encourage reaching out to people – make the connections, build the relationships and grow your tribe!
Alright, let’s get into it! To make everything easy I’m going to break up this series into a variety of posts. Here’s where you absolutely MUST stay…
Where To Stay In Scottsdale
Desert vibes, anyone? The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch is a destination all on its own. The 27-acre property includes 10 swimming pools, 20 fountains, 45 waterfalls, and a 30’, 3-story high-speed waterslide making it the perfect water playground for all ages (21+ can also enjoy tropical cocktails poolside at H2Oasis).
Pretty dreamy, am I right? Before I dig into the Hyatt Regency’s full list of amenities, I have to mention Spa Avania – a holistic self-care sanctuary that you and your girlfriends will love…
Spa Avania
Spa Avania offers a variety of services for face, body and massage therapy paired with their French-Celtic mineral pool, relaxing lotus pond, trellis covered outdoor relaxation areas, steam room, sauna, hot and cold plunges, and full-service salon.
Spend an hour or an afternoon to relax, rejuvenate and glow. Girl, you deserve this.
I also recommend adding on the Himalayan Salt Room…
There are multiple benefits including boosting your immune system and an ideal way to detox. Found in Eastern Europe salt mines decades ago, “halotherapy” is a therapeutic, 100% natural, non-invasive treatment. It is a method of inhaling pure, dry, micronized salt air particles. These particles reach deep into the lungs absorbing bacteria and pollutants, providing an anti-inflammatory property. Additional benefits encourage clear skin, enhanced breathing, superior endurance, deeper, more restful sleep and overall wellness.
The beautiful Hyatt Regency Scottsdale also offers golf, meeting facilities, a wedding venue, fitness center, and concierge. In addition, it has on-site dining, shopping, gondola boat rides, a climbing wall, tennis and a kids program. You could easily stay on property for an entire week and if you’re a Regency Club member you’d have access to their complimentary continental breakfast and evening hors d’oeuvres, among other perks. Next level stuff, you guys.
Let’s also talk about the location
It feels very secluded, yet you’re within minutes to Fifth Avenue, Scottsdale Fashion Square, The Shops at Gainey Village, Kierland Commons, Old Town Scottsdale, a variety of museums, biking, hiking and guided tours. So I recommend renting a car or using a ride service like Uber or Lyft for easy access around the Phoenix metropolitan area. There’s so much to see, eat and do. Foodie and activity suggestions coming soon…I promise. ♥
THANK YOU Visit Phoenix for coordinating this trip and Hyatt Regency Scottsdale for offering the most gracious hospitality!
