For my 21st birthday, my best friend and I headed to L.A. to soak up the Cali sun, (window) shop Rodeo, and hit up the nightlife to commemorate my newly legal status. It was during this trip I met David Garret. At the time, he was working for Von Dutch and building his design portfolio. My friend knew him from high school, so we hung out a bit and that was it.
Fast forward (a few) years to now. My friend informed me David just launched a new fashion line – LumberUnion – and recommended I connect with him for the blog. So, David and I met for coffee and I immediately knew he was onto something BIG. After several years in the fashion industry and working alongside creative masterminds like Christian Audigier, David and his business partner, Anthony Bergin, developed LumberUnion, a clothing brand with the mission to fight Global Warming. Partnered with American Forests, for every LumberUnion purchase, a dedicated number of trees will be planted right here in the U.S.
LumberUnion wants to ‘Elevate the Fashion Conscience’ with their environmental initiative and their commitment to #MadeInTheUSA #AntiSweatshop and the Fair Trade Movement.
Founded in the Pacific Northwest at the end of 2015, LumberUnion has established three lines – Lumberjock (Men), Lumberjill (Women), and LumberUnion (Unisex). At this time there are hats and tees available, with additional expansions coming soon.
I had the fortune of receiving a Lumberjill hat, which with every purchase will plant 4 Trees!
I’d love for you to join me in supporting this PNW brand that is fighting Global Warming 1 Tree at a time – shop LumberUnion here → http://www.lumberunion.com. The Lumberjill Hat is available for $39.95 and will allow for 4 Trees to be planted with every purchase.
You can also shop their T-Shirt Collection HERE.
