If you happen to catch me at the gym, in the grocery store, dropping my daughter off at school, you will find me a bit of a hot mess – yoga pants, running shoes, hair pulled back, and zero make-up. BUT you must know I LOVE fashion, especially when I can exit mommy-mode for a bit and spend the evening with my girlfriends or date night with my husband. I like to think of it as I’m saving my ‘stylish side’ for special moments. ♥
It just so happens one of these moments is tomorrow night – I’m leaving the Brook’s home and bringing my heels out to play as I head to Fashion First – Seattle’s longest and largest independent fashion show, which is being hosted at Showbox Sodo.
Seattle + Fashion + Cocktails…all while raising money for 2 incredible charities. Yes, Yes, Yes….and of course, Yes!

In its 12th Year, Fashion First, is one of the most coveted nights of style in Seattle, where designers, stylists, and local fashion retailers (amongst many other guests) attend to preview upcoming Fall trends.
“FASHION FIRST was founded to provide an affordable and powerful, cutting-edge social media and marketing platform for the local fashion retailer and designers. FASHION FIRST’s core mission is to create a fashion show to promote and support Seattle retailers and designers while raising money for the needs of Seattle children.” – {Fashion First Seattle}
The show’s theme this year is ’12th Year, 12th Man’ which will be benefitting two incredible organizations:
Inspire Youth Project – “Works with children impacted by HIV/AIDS, trauma, neglect, and abuse. By improving emotional and social relationship skills, providing a safe community of peers, and teen leadership and scholarship opportunities, Inspire Youth Project supports our youth to make decisions that help them rise above the cycle of poverty, adversity, and marginalization to become successful throughout school and in life.” {Fashion First Seattle}
