I’ve tried Lagree Fitness before (you can check out my first experience HERE) and knew it was a killer workout – but I was eager to visit the new Inspire Seattle studio that just opened in Ballard. A few reasons I was intrigued – their Queen Anne studio (which opened in 2010) already had a fan following (so must be good!), and the new studio was going to include a kombucha bar…you read that right. A kombucha bar. This might be my new favorite happy hour spot. Brilliant, right?!
So a few week’s ago, a few blogger friend’s and I took one of their grand opening classes! First impression? The studio is GORGEOUS.
And the workout? INTENSE. I promise you will be sore the next day. But that’s a good thing…remember? Sometimes we get stuck in a workout routine that we forget to push ourselves…this will do it. And you will be grateful. I promise.

Many studies show that the greater loss of fat happens AFTER the workout! During EPOC the body is restoring itself to its pre-exercise state, and thus is consuming oxygen at an elevated rate. This means that energy is also being expended at an elevated rate (including an elevated consumption of fat). The EPOC effect is greatest soon after the exercise is completed and decreases to a lesser level over time. Some studies found measurable effects existed up to 38 hours after the exercise! – Inspire Seattle

As Summer is drawing to a close I’m feeling inspired to burn off those extra ‘fun’ calories (bbq, cocktails, etc.) and Inspire was a good push. In addition to burning calories, I’ve also been working on cutting calories, 100 at a time. Sometimes it’s the little changes that create the most consistent results. One of my go-to healthy snacks or late night ‘desserts’ is the new Chobani Simple 100® Crunch, especially the Strawberry Chocolate Truffle flavor. ♥
