School FINALLY starts next week in the Pacific Northwest and while I’m going to miss adventuring with these little blonde beauties everyday, it’s time for this mama to catch up! But first, before the lunches are packed and bags are filled, we SHOP!
As you know we love Northgate Mall – there’s always plenty of FREE parking, it’s out of downtown, so I can avoid traffic, and it has the best restaurants for shopping fuel (we like The Ram!).
There are 3 stores we never miss – The Children’s Place, Nordstrom Rack and Old Navy. And the trends are so fun this year – think 90’s chic with a heavy dose of girl power. To make things easy for you, I’ve listed out the styles your mini maven will love!
The Girl Edit
Screenshot or take note…this is what to look for:
- Flannels
- Cropped Denim
- Slip on tennis shoes
- Vintage-Inspired baseball tees
- Floral print
- Throwback brands – Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger, Champion
And I’m not going to give you direct links (I know, I know), because this is one of those times you need to go in-store. Back to school shopping is a rite of passage and an opportunity to make some special memories with your kids. I’ll be the first to tell you, shopping with kids can be tough…but it can also be really amazing if you plan it right. Start out in the morning (right after breakfast) – aim for the 3 stores I listed above (you’ll be able to find everything you need, I promise!) and then finish off with lunch. Let your mini make a few decisions (again, I know, I know), but it makes them feel good and gives you some insight on what they like.
And then finish off your summer with a bang and get froyo. It’s the little things.
Make sure to stop by Northgate Mall this week – specifically The Children’s Place, Nordstrom Rack and Old Navy and then tag me on Instagram with your finds!
You can also enter to win up to $3000 in the Simon Back To School Sweepstakes!
*The girl’s outfits are from Old Navy ♥
