August is officially here and the Back To School Sales are in full-effect. Now is when you should be shopping for Fall – and this is the FINAL week in the coveted Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – so grab your kids, your girlfriends, or just a latte and be ready to get killer deals (We picked up 10 items for less than $175!).

With Adalyn heading into First Grade in the Fall, this was her first official Back To School shopping trip. And it was one to be celebrated (though aren’t they all?). We headed to Northgate Mall in Seattle as they had a few key stores (& sales!) on our list – Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, The Children’s Place, and Old Navy.

Nordstrom was our first stop and I’m going to be honest, where we spent a majority of our time…because well the #NSale…
We picked up several pieces from the Sale rack…and then Adalyn tried them all on like a champ!
The key to shopping for kiddos is layering! Some of the Sale tops we picked up are perfect for warm weather and can easily be paired with a cardigan for Fall and Winter.

Our first official Back To School shopping trip was absolutely perfect. And we celebrated with lunch at The Ram (which is next to the West entrance). They have a new ‘Summer Salute’ menu and I had the Ahi Poke Salad…so insanely good. Did you see it on Snapchat?! → Obsessedportia ♥
A few fun facts about Northgate Mall:
- It is the FIRST regional shopping mall in the United States.
- It has three major department stores, a food court, play area, and over 130 stores.
- There is complimentary valet parking near the RAM and Mama Stortini’s Restaurant, and instead of walking to Nordstrom, you can take the complimentary shuttle from the valet station to the front door.
- They have a Simon Kidgets Club which includes special deals and events just for Kids!
And on August 20th they are hosting a Back To School Event!
