Happy Saturday loves! I hope you are enjoying this long weekend with friends and family. I have to be honest, I am always doing something & going somewhere (which I love), but over the next few days we have zero plans and it.feels.amazing. We were supposed to go camping, but tent + rain = not my jam – so we decided to go the homebody route instead. Why don’t I do this more often? I’ve spent the day cleaning, organizing and just hanging with the kiddos – I needed this. It’s so easy to fill up the calendar that you forget to add in ‘days off.’ Fun weekend plans are awesome, but I still need downtime – otherwise I just end up feeling scattered the rest of the week. So I’m using this ‘free time’ to prep for the week ahead. And of course I wanted to share with you – so here are 4 ways to have a kick-ass week – and it all starts with meal planning!
Getting creative with breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, etc….it can be overwhelming, right? Especially if you’re doing it one meal at a time. But, if you spend a few hours on Saturday or Sunday and prep for the week – seriously – life will be a million times easier. I know this because when I don’t prep – I want to pull my hair out and serve everyone cheerios!
Okay – so let’s make your life a little less complicated – keep reading :)
1. Apple Cider Vinegar Drink
I am OBSESSED with starting my day – everyday – with an apple cider vinegar drink. I switch it up between this Metabolism Boosting Detox Drink and the Bombshell Spell from Tone It Up. Apple cider vinegar is known to be a natural energy booster, in addition to, aiding in digestion and weight loss.
I make 5 at a time, storing in individual mason jars with these lids.

2. Overnight Oats
It’s the little things that make a Monday morning that much easier to handle – and this is one of them. Knowing I have a grab-and-go breakfast ready 5 days/week, I am able to manage the morning rush a little bit better. And it takes just a few minutes to put a week’s worth together! I also store these in mason jars with plastic lids.
I have several variations pinned, but here’s the basic recipe for reference!
3. Mason Jar Salads
Okay, so obviously I’m obsessed with mason jars – but they are a great way to make healthy food – fast food. Mason jar salads are SUPER simple – not to mention they look pretty – so they taste better, right? :)
You can also make 5 at a time, store in the fridge and grab throughout the week for a quick lunch or dinner. You can check out the ‘formula’ and my recipe HERE!
4. Organize Refrigerator
Okay so this one is crucial. Every weekend, get your fridge on point! Organize it, clean it out – get rid of last week’s leftovers. Make room for new, fresh food. And my favorite way to make that icebox pretty – glass containers! I have been trying to phase out our old tupperware and searching for new, leakproof containers. Amazon was too overwhelming so I ended up using the Image Matchmaker on ATG.com. You can either insert your Pinterest board link or upload an image and it will find a matching product! Seriously genius. Try it HERE!
I found these Kinetic Go Green Glasslock containers and I love them.
- Airtight leakproof
- BPA free

- Nesting (space-saver)
Making healthy food ‘on display’ makes it more enticing + easy for my kiddos to grab a container and munch on when they’re hungry. This saves so much time and allows them some independence!
Honestly, I only thought ATG Stores carried home decor, so I was pleased to discover their whole Kitchen Organization department!
I hope these ideas have you feeling inspired and ready to prep for the week! Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I’ll be back to share some exciting news very soon. ♥
