It’s never too late to start a new tradition.
I’ll be honest, I haven’t put much thought into Halloween these past few years. The girls typically wear one of their dress up costumes (we have a million), they enjoy the festivities at school and then we grab a pizza and call it a night. They’ve only gone trick or treating a few times and while they are happy regardless, this year I decided to turn over a new leaf. They’re old enough now to notice when I take shortcuts and holidays are no exception. And if I’m being really honest. They noticed last year. And sad as it was to write this, I’ve decided they’re still young enough for me to create new memories and GO BIG in the littlest ways. Kids really don’t ask for much. The least I can do is celebrate with them!
So instead of me coming at you like a Pinterest-perfect mom (nope!), I’m sharing a list of 17 Halloween activities and traditions that we can ALL try. And for heaven’s sake, don’t feel like you need to do them all, it’s really just to provide you with inspo. I say, if we do like 3 things on the list we’re winning at #momlife. What do you think? You in?
I’d like to mention that this post is sponsored by my friends at Fred Meyer. I’ve partnered with them time and time again because it’s simple – they’re a one stop shop. So keep that in mind when reading this list. I’m not asking you to run around town. No one has time for that. One list + one store = done.
